We’re launching our brand-new Allied Health and Day Respite Services, bringing together a passionate team focused on wellness, reablement, independence and helping older Australians live their best lives at home and in their community.

And we’re looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and people-focused Senior Occupational Therapist to join us at the beginning of this exciting journey!

This isn’t just another OT role. It’s an opportunity to help build something special from the ground up.

What You'll Be Doing

As our Senior Occupational Therapist, you’ll play a key role in building and delivering high-quality, person-centred Occupational Therapy services across the community.

You will:

  • Lead and grow the development and delivery of Occupational Therapy services within the community
  • Help establish and build a high-performing, passionate Allied Health team
  • Deliver evidence-based, person-centred therapy in clients’ homes and community settings
  • Champion wellness and reablement, helping clients maintain independence, confidence and quality of life
  •  Conduct functional, mobility and home safety assessments
  • Recommend and facilitate assistive equipment, home modifications and practical strategies to support safe and independent living
  •  Collaborate with nurses, care partners and other health professionals to achieve great outcomes for our clients
  • Bring your ideas and contribute to service innovation, quality improvement and best-practice care
  • Travel across our service regions as required

Qualifications

  • Current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist

  • Professional indemnity insurance

  • Minimum 3 years clinical experience (community, rehabilitation or aged care experience highly regarded)

  • Demonstrated passion for wellness, restorative care and reablement

  • Strong leadership, mentoring and team development skills

  • Commitment to delivering person-centred, high-quality care

  • Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel
  • Current national police check (completed in the last 12 months)
  • Current first aid and CPR
  • Relevant aged care healthcare compliance documentation

  • Excellent time management and organisational skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Sound clinical reasoning, problem-solving and critical thinking

  • High attention to detail and documentation accuracy

  • Confident using technology and clinical systems

  • Understanding of aged care standard, compliance and ethical practice
  • Genuine commitment to client-centred care and positive ageing
