Elderly Home Care
Right at Home provides aged care services for ageing Australians and adults living with disability who face physical challenges, helping them maintain independence at home.
Our elderly care services include essential tasks such as cooking, meal planning, and grocery shopping, alongside light housekeeping duties like dusting, vacuuming, and laundry. Our services extend to home and garden maintenance, transportation for appointments or social activities, and a strong focus on safety through fall prevention measures and general decluttering.
Right at Home prioritises overall wellbeing, offering services that include cognitive stimulation activities, socialisation opportunities, and help with organising daily schedules and appointments. Additionally, we provide crucial respite care, giving family caregivers the necessary breaks from looking after their loved ones.

Under the Government's Support at Home program, "everyday living" is a key category of services designed to help older people live independently for longer. Participants contribute to the cost of these everyday living services based on their income and assets, with higher contribution rates applying compared to clinical care, which is fully government-funded. Our goal is to provide a safe and liveable home environment for you and your loved ones and to support overall health and wellbeing and connection to community. Our elderly care services include domestic assistance, companionship and socialisation, personal care, transportation, flexible respite care, nursing care, home and garden services, allied health, and lifestyle and wellbeing care.
Home is where most of us feel safest and most comfortable, filled with familiar sights, smells, and sounds. For many older Australians, the thought of transitioning to residential aged care or an assisted living facility can be deeply traumatic. At Right at Home, we understand the desire to remain in one's own home and are dedicated to providing the necessary support to make ageing in place a sustainable reality.
Right at Home offers nationwide aged care services tailored to older Australians, as well as support for individuals and families navigating complex conditions like Parkinson's, Dementia, and Alzheimer's. Our services, which range from companionship and personal care to skilled nursing, are delivered by select, highly trained care staff, ensuring some of the best in-home aged care available in the country.
Planning home care for a loved one can be an emotional and stressful process, with a vast array of companies offering multiple services. Right at Home encourages families to start their search early, conduct thorough research, and make diligent enquiries to find the perfect match for their family's unique needs.

Social interaction is a fundamental aspect of a healthy lifestyle, equally vital for older Australians as it is for younger generations. Maintaining a robust social life helps the elderly enrich their lives, offering significant emotional and mental health benefits that combat the risks of isolation. When the elderly socialise, they find companionship, share experiences like meals, and sustain outside interests that foster happier, healthier lives.
These connections provide older Australians with a sense of purpose and belonging, reinforcing feelings of love and support. Staying socially active keeps older adults mentally sharp and engaged with their community. Our caregivers facilitate activities such as games, walking, volunteering, reading groups, and conversation to help contribute positively to clients' emotional wellbeing. Our goal is to help clients feel productive and valued as they age.
The Right at Home difference is found in our process. In very little time, we're able to assess and understand your loved one's unique situation and recommend a custom plan for their particular needs. This gets them the care they need as soon as they need it.
Unlike other providers, we employ our caregivers directly, ensuring they are properly screened, adequately trained, and insured before entering your home. We also supervise our caregivers, ensuring that you are receiving quality care as per your custom care plan and home care agreement. We also review and audit our processes, and ask for feedback, ensuring that if/when your needs change, we are adapting the care plan to suit.
Our goal is to protect our caregivers, while keeping you and your families safe, healthy and living a fulfilling life, right at home.
From the moment you call our Right at Home office, we begin considering you and your loved one's specific needs. On the initial call, we ask questions to form a basic needs assessment. During your initial phone call, we will give you an indication of the cost of our services.
After the call, we set up an in-home visit with you and the rest of your family – including the family member who may ultimately benefit from our care. This visit allows us to gather even more information, answer questions and let you understand how Right at Home can help.
A more detailed quote for our services would be provided at the end of the client assessment performed by our Care Manager.
The care we provide at Right at Home is driven in all respects by the Custom Care Plan. The Custom Care Plan has goals and outcomes that are measureable. The Custom Care Plan is a nursing prescription that is designed to evolve as the client's needs change over time.
Our experienced Registered Nurses and Care Managers will make recommendations and provide guidance to the family on ways in which the client's lifestyle can be made more comfortable. Our Care Managers make follow-up visits with the client and the designated carers to ensure that the Custom Care Plan is correctly implemented. The details of the Custom Care Plan and the care notes are kept in a folder in the client's home so that family members can check on progress at any time.
The Custom Care Plan is reviewed by the Care Manager every six months in consultation with the client and the client's family. Our Care Managers and our Registered Nurse Supervisors are available 24 hours to deal with emergency situations. Our all hours number is 1300 363 802.
Once you approve the Custom Care Plan, we begin our search for the most appropriate person to deliver our service. Our system of matching caregivers to clients takes numerous factors into consideration: services needed, your loved one's interests and the personalities of both your loved one and the caregiver.
Our system of matching carers to clients takes numerous factors into consideration. By looking at the whole situation, we're better able to provide your loved one with the best carers possible. Of course, if there are ever any concerns about a specific carer, we can search for and provide a replacement in very little time.
Our carers are carefully screened with detailed background checks during the recruitment process. They are all suitably qualified and experience people of the highest quality. We provide our people with insurance cover and ongoing professional development and training to ensure that we provide the best possible care.
Each client's Custom Care Plan and supporting documentation is kept in a Client Folder that is kept in the client's home. This folder is updated with changes in the Custom Care Plan as well as progress notes completed after each visit.
Our caregivers keep extensive notes about the care they provide. Our Care Managers monitor the performance of our Caregivers and the progress of our Client's. Our Care Managers make regular unannounced visits to the homes to ensure caregivers are following the specifics of the Custom Care Plan.
Our Registered Nurse Supervisers and Care Managers make frequent visits to the home to meet with the client and the caregiver to discuss the Custom Care Plan and to ensure that the client is happy with the services we are providing. Our Care Managers will also liase with designated family members to provide feedback on the Custom Care Plan and the progress we are making.
