Elderly Home Care

Elderly Home Care & Support Services

Right at Home provides aged care services for ageing Australians and adults living with disability who face physical challenges, helping them maintain independence at home.

Our elderly care services include essential tasks such as cooking, meal planning, and grocery shopping, alongside light housekeeping duties like dusting, vacuuming, and laundry. Our services extend to home and garden maintenance, transportation for appointments or social activities, and a strong focus on safety through fall prevention measures and general decluttering.

Right at Home prioritises overall wellbeing, offering services that include cognitive stimulation activities, socialisation opportunities, and help with organising daily schedules and appointments. Additionally, we provide crucial respite care, giving family caregivers the necessary breaks from looking after their loved ones.

Elderly Care & Support at Home

Under the Government's Support at Home program, Right at Home delivers services under each of the three categories; everyday living, independence, and clinical services. Participants co-contribute to the cost of these services based on their income and assets, with higher contribution rates applying compared to clinical care, which is fully government-funded. Our goal is to provide a safe and liveable home environment for you and your loved ones and to support overall health and wellbeing and connection to community.

Staying at Home with Right at Home

Planning home care services for a loved one can be an emotional and stressful process, with a vast array of companies offering multiple services at very different price points. Right at Home encourages families to start their search early, conduct thorough research, and make diligent enquiries to find the perfect match for their family's unique needs.

How We Work

The Right at Home Difference

Our difference is in our process. We quickly assess your unique needs to create a tailored care plan, ensuring support begins exactly when you need it. Unlike many providers, we directly employ, screen, and train our caregivers, providing you with supervised, high-quality care that adapts as your life changes. Our mission is simple: keeping you safe, healthy, and independent in the home you love.

The Initial Call and Meeting

From the moment you call our Right at Home office, we begin considering you and your loved one's specific needs. On the initial call, we ask questions to form a basic needs assessment and give you an indication of the cost of our services. After the call, we set up an in-home visit with you and the rest of your family – including the family member who may ultimately benefit from our care. This visit allows us to gather even more information, answer questions and let you understand how Right at Home can help. A more detailed quote for our services would be provided at the end of the client assessment performed by a Care Manager.

A Custom Care Plan

At Right at Home, all care is guided by a Custom Care Plan – a clinical 'prescription' with measurable goals that evolves as your needs change. Our Registered Nurses and Care Managers provide expert guidance to enhance comfort, conducting regular follow-ups to ensure high-quality implementation. For full transparency, care notes remain in your home for family review. We formally review your plan every six months and provide 24/7 emergency support via our all-hours number at 1300 363 802.

Caregiver Matching

Once you approve the Custom Care Plan, we begin our search for the most appropriate person to deliver services. Our system of matching caregivers to clients takes numerous factors into consideration: services needed, your loved one's interests, and the personalities of both your loved one and the caregiver. By looking at the whole situation, we're better able to provide your loved one with the best carers possible. Of course, if there are ever any concerns about a specific carer, we can search for and provide a replacement in very little time. Our carers are carefully screened with detailed background checks during the recruitment process. They are all suitably qualified and experienced people of the highest quality. We provide our people with insurance cover and ongoing professional development and training to ensure that clients receive the best possible care.

Care Supervision

Each client's Custom Care Plan and supporting documentation is kept in a Client Folder in the client's home. This folder is updated with changes in the Custom Care Plan as well as progress notes completed after each visit. Our caregivers keep extensive notes about the care they provide. Our Care Managers monitor the performance of our Caregivers and the progress of our Client's. Our Registered Nurse Supervisors and Care Managers make frequent visits to the home to meet with the client and the caregiver to discuss the Custom Care Plan, and to ensure that the client is happy with the services we are providing. Our Care Managers will also liase with designated family members to provide feedback on the Custom Care Plan and the progress we are making.

Secure the help you need to ensure your loved one receives exceptional care and support at home.
