My name is Edwina, and I’m proud to be the co-owner of Right at Home Geelong, alongside my long-time colleague and friend, Lacey. Our professional journey began in 2005 when we met while working at St. Vincent’s Public Hospital in Melbourne. Since then, we've shared a deep commitment to delivering compassionate, high-quality care — a commitment that now underpins everything we do at Right at Home.

With over 20 years of nursing experience across public and private hospitals in both Melbourne and Geelong, I have built a strong foundation in clinical care. In 2011, I completed postgraduate studies in Intensive Care Nursing, earning a Certificate of Nursing (Intensive Care), which enriched my understanding of complex health needs and person-centred care. Following this, I have held various management and clinical roles throughout acute specialty units at the Alfred Hospital (Melbourne) and Barwon Health (Geelong).

A few years ago, I chose to step away from the hospital system and took on a new role as Practice Manager at an Allied Health provider in Geelong. This role offered valuable insight into the aged care sector and the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). I found deep fulfilment in helping clients navigate their care options and supporting them in achieving their goals — a passion that continues to inspire my work with Right at Home.

Outside of work, I’m married to my husband, Duncan, and we’re raising three wonderful children, aged 10, 8, and 3 here in Geelong. My family is a big part of why I’m so passionate about creating a supportive, client-focused care environment — one that values dignity, connection, and quality of life for every person we support.

I was born and raised in Geelong and proudly live here with my husband Luke, our three kids Jack, Harriet, and Teddy, and our much-loved dog, Winnie. I’m happiest being out in the community either cheering from the sidelines at my kids’ sports, running around the Barwon river, dancing, or catching up with friends at book club.

With over 20 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, I started my career at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne in the cardiothoracic ward, where I met my friend and Right at Home Geelong Co-Owner, Edwina. I later moved into clinical education, completing postgraduate studies and leading pre-registration programs for nursing students at St Vincent’s Health. Together, Edwina and I have shared a long journey in healthcare, and we’re proud to bring that shared passion and experience to our own in-home care business – Right at Home Geelong.

After seeing the difference that quality care made for my mum through the NDIS, I knew I wanted to help others experience that same support. Through Right at Home Geelong, Edwina and I are committed to helping people live well, safely, and independently in their own homes, surrounded by the community they love and supported by a team they can truly trust.
