Aged Care at Home

Right at Home provides care services at home for seniors and elderly Australians. Our carefully selected and highly trained care staff can provide a range of services, including companionship, personal and skilled nursing care. In many cases, seniors and older Australians require assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) or daily self-care activities. We support families dealing with a range of conditions including Parkinson's, Dementia, and Alzheimer's, with all the difficult consequences of living with these conditions.

Your family is not alone.

Home Care Packages

Most ageing Australians wish to remain at home for as long as possible. Home care service providers like Right at Home, are uniquely positioned to help prolong the stay of elderly clients in their own homes. An important part of our service is to help our elderly clients and their families to navigate the federal government's Home Care Packages system. We can guide you and your family in acquiring the assistance and support you require at no additional cost.

Right at Home is an Approved Provider under the Aged Care Act, meaning we can provide quality care under a government-funded aged care package. We provide services and care as required from your package, and support families who wish to pay privately. The power is in your hands to choose who provides your care. This is essential, because if you are dissatisfied with the care you are receiving, then you can initiate a change. Disability Support & NDIS

Right at Home offers private pay, in-home support and care for you or your family member living with a disability as well as support for NDIS plan and self-managed participants. 'Home' can mean residing with family members or in shared accommodation. We can organise day trips, shopping outings, coffee dates, visits to the movies or with friends and family, including transport. We can assist households in dealing with unforeseen and unintended scenarios regardless of where that may be.

We adopt a holistic approach to care, upheld by an outcomes-driven, quantifiable, care planning program to help participants achieve their goals. Care planning* considers all elements of a client's health and wellbeing, including daily personal activities, household tasks, and the crucial socialisation elements that sustain desirable mental health. Right at Home concentrates on the individual to enhance the quality of their life, and help them be as independent as possible.

Socialisation & Companion Care

While physical activity is needed to maintain a healthy lifestyle, social activities also play an important role. Everyone, no matter their age, needs some social interaction. As we age, the importance of being socially active becomes more important. Feeling needed and productive helps seniors and those living with a disability to remain happy and fulfilled. Having someone to talk with, share a meal with, or share interests with enriches our clients’ lives. It helps them to feel loved, supported and needed.

The connections we build with people and activities give seniors and those living with a disability a purpose and something to look forward to. Social activities like walking and volunteering help the elderly to stay mentally sharp, and keeps all our clients from feeling isolated and alone.

Domestic Assistance & Transportation

Light housekeeping, garden and home maintenance, shopping and meal preparation can become frustrating tasks for those affected by ageing or living with a disability. Right at Home provides support and assistance for numerous daily activities as well as transportation. We can assist our clients getting to and from medical appointments, hospital discharge, and provide transport for shopping, social visits and outings in the community. Transportation can be with either our carer's vehicle or the client's vehicle as the case may be.

Nursing Care

Right at Home delivers nursing care at home. We provide more basic nursing assistance right up to complex nursing tasks such as medication setup and administration, catheter care, complex wound dressings, IV therapy and IV antibiotics, tube feeding, rehabilitation, chronic disease management, palliative care, symptom management, postoperative care, and hospital in the home. Each client is assessed on an individual needs basis by our skilled nursing team. Our nurses are part of your care team and oversee the care plan to ensure the quality of care that we deliver to you at home.

Personal Care

For those suffering from the physical effects of a disability or ageing, Right at Home can help by providing personal care throughout the day. We offer ambulatory and dressing assistance, positioning in a chair or bed, transfer between a bed and chair, and wheelchair assistance. As limitations evolve, basic hygiene can become a challenge. No matter what level of assistance your loved one needs, we can accommodate with bathing and showering assistance, bed baths, grooming, shaving with an electric razor, oral hygiene, and toilet and incontinence care.

Respite Care

Respite care can enable both you and the loved one you take care of to relax and unwind. You can decide on what is most suitable for you and the loved one you look after. Respite care may be offered informally by friends or family, or formally by a respite support service. Many individuals may pick respite in the home, while others favour community or centre-based programs.

Contemplate organising some downtime in advance. This can help eliminate stress and anxiety. Additionally, it can help to prevent waiting lists that support services may be experiencing. Nevertheless, urgent respite care might be obtainable if the unforeseen occurs – a serious illness, a death or you require assistance with little notice. Some support services are complimentary, others are not.

The fees associated with respite care are dependent on the care provider, the duration of time involved, and the type of care. If you require advice on the respite and support services on offer in your area, please contact us. We are confident we can assist you in locating the most appropriate respite care for your needs and the person you take care of.

Palliative Care

Palliative care is personal and family-centred care offered to an individual with a current, progressing, or advanced condition, or who has minimal or no likelihood of treatment and is anticipated to pass away. In these instances, the major consideration is to enhance the quality and comfort of the client and their family.

End-of-life assistance happens in the final weeks of a person's life. During this period, client and caregiver requirements intensify. It is acknowledged that palliative care is a period where heightened services and assistance are crucial to guarantee premium, collaborated care from the support team. Palliative care encompasses the terminal stage or when the individual is identified as imminently passing away and bereavement care.

24-Hour Care

This includes a team of regular caregivers delivering unobtrusive, continuous care that values other householders' security and privacy while attending to the client's every requirement across three rolling eight-hour shifts. 24-hour assistance implies complete care and consideration on a per-hour schedule during the day and night.
