One of our core services is providing valuable companionship and socialisation support to combat isolation and promote a vibrant lifestyle. We support clients to engage with their community and facilitate visiting friends, enjoying a coffee outing, or attending cultural venues like the theatre, RSL, library, or art gallery. Transportation assistance is a core component of this offering, ensuring clients can safely travel to and from social outings or other important appointments.

Beyond external activities, Right at Home caregivers engage clients in their homes. We provide cognitive stimulation through various activities designed to keep clients’ minds sharp, such as puzzles, Scrabble, card games, or simply enjoying a shared reading session. These interactions provide essential human connection and mental exercise. Furthermore, our companionship and socialisation support extends into other services, turning tasks like meal preparation, planning daily activities, or even light housekeeping into shared, social experiences that provide peace of mind and improve overall quality of life.

Under the Government’s new Support at Home program, socialisation is a key component of the "Independence Support" stream, focusing on maintaining community connections and overall wellbeing. Unlike personal care, which deals with physical tasks, social support is designed to prevent isolation and encourage an active lifestyle. Our personalised support services, which are available through government funding or private pay, are delivered by screened, trained, and supervised caregivers based on clients' assessed needs and goals. Our priority is to provide peace of mind by facilitating safe and meaningful engagement with friends, family, and the wider community, ensuring a holistic approach to care.
