The Role:

Support workers provide and document person-in home care, including support with intimate care and hygiene, as well as supporting and encouraging clients to remain independent and to enjoy life. Support workers also undertake daily cleaning duties.

The support worker sleepover will be required to complete both active and inactive components. The active component will be regular duties which then progresses to the inactive component, where you will be required to ‘sleepover’ in a room provided. During sleepover you may be woken to complete various tasks including assisting clients during night hours, this can include various carer duties. 

About You:

  • Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support (or equivalent) 
  • 2 Dose Covid Vaccination
  • Must be able to work Sleepover shifts. Hours are from 6:00 pm – 7:00 am. with 10:00 pm - 6:00 am being the ‘sleep component’.
  • Experience caring for elderly people, for example, in residential and/or community aged care setting or supported residential service.
