Sunday 3 December was International Day of People with Disabilities, marking the World Health Organization’s annual call to action to achieve the sustainable development goals (SDGs) for, with, and by persons with disabilities. 

Last Saturday heralded 2022’s International Day of Persons with Disability and what an important day it is every year.

Following International Day of Persons with Disabilities, held each year on the 3rd of December, we are this week celebrating Disability Action Week.

World Cerebral Palsy Day occurs each year on October 6th. World Cerebral Palsy Day is part of CP360, a global coalition of 10 organisations across 15 countries that advocate for people living with Cerebral Palsy.

Schizophrenia Awareness Week will take place once again this month from the 23rd to the 29th of May. This year’s theme is ‘Discover Better Mental Health’.

Yesterday was World Down Syndrome Day! Officially recognised by the United Nations in 2012, World Down Syndrome Day is synonymous with respecting the rights and inclusion of those living with a disability which Right at Home, Australia's premium homecare company, whole heartedly supports.
