National Palliative Care Week (NPCW) is here. From Sunday, 19 May 2024 to Saturday, 25 May 2024, Australians are invited to bring the same openness and curiosity we have for life to how we approach end-of-life and explore the thoughts and conversations that go with it. 

Organised by Palliative Care Australia and supported by the Department of Health, Palliative Care Week from 21 to 27 May aims to draw attention to how important palliative care is for people affected by chronic diseases. This year’s theme is to put ‘Matters of Life and Death’ front and centre in Australia’s consciousness.

Right at Home, Australia's quality homecare provider, reminds the community that next week is National Advance Care Planning Week. An Australian Government Department of Health & Aged Care funded Initiative, administered by Austin Health, National Advance Care Planning Week aims to encourage all Australians, regardless of their age or health status, to make their future health care preferences known. 

National Palliative Care Week (NPCW), held from 22 to 28 May 2022, is Australia’s largest annual awareness-raising initiative to increase understanding of the many benefits of palliative care.

National Palliative Care Week (NPCW) will this year be held from Sunday 23 May to Saturday 29 May, with the theme "Palliative Care It’s more than you think".
