November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month. According to Lung Foundation Australia, lung cancer is Australia’s number one cancer killer with one in three people impacted by lung disease or lung cancer. 

It’s October, and you know what that means, it’s National Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

September is International Prostate Cancer Awareness Month and cities around the world are lighting up landmarks blue to raise awareness.

National Stroke Week, from 7 to 13 August, is a Stroke Foundation campaign to encourage the community to ‘fight stroke together’.  

World Hepatitis Day is celebrated on 28 July. In Australia, World Hepatitis Day is coordinated by the national peak body Hepatitis Australia, to raise awareness and promote action on viral hepatitis.  

National Pain Week is an annual awareness campaign coordinated by Chronic Pain Australia to draw attention to the plight of people suffering from chronic pain with the strategic intent to ensure that all Australians living with it receive the ‘Triple AAA’ standards of care – Awareness, Accessibility and Affordability. 

This National Diabetes Week, from 9 to 15 July, will celebrate the theme ‘Raise your voice. Drive change.’ 

June is Bowel Cancer Awareness Month. Each year, Bowel Cancer Australia puts on its signature month-long event to raise awareness of Australia's second deadliest cancer and funds for prevention, early diagnosis, research, quality treatment and care.

May is Macula Month! Designed to raise awareness of the degenerative eye disease, Macula Month encourages those most at risk (people aged 50+) to go for an eye exam and check their macula health.
