Community Care Support Worker

Right at Home Ballina is looking for caring, reliable, and motivated Companion Support Workers to join our team. This is your chance to make a difference supporting clients 65 + in their homes. With roles available on a casual basis, you’ll support clients across Ballina and surrounding suburbs.

What you'll be doing in this role:

You’ll provide domestic assistance for older people living in their own homes, to help empower their independence and improve their quality of life in the Ballina and Surrounding Areas.

A Day in the Life

As a Community Support Worker, no two days are the same. This role involves travelling between client’s homes with a minimum two hour service using your own car.

• Vacuuming/sweeping floors/ mopping
• Clean and sanitise bathrooms, kitchens and other living spaces according to schedules.
• Change bed linen, make beds, and ensure overall comfort and hygiene
• Assist with Laundry
• Transport Services
• Assist with shopping
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies to ensure the well-being of clients
• Light gardening duties

What you will need: 

• Australian Federal Police Clearance - last 12 months
• Current CPR (last 12 months) / First Aid Certificate  
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence 
• Valid Working Rights in Australia (Passport, Birth Certificate etc) 
• Reliable, registered and insured vehicle (comprehensive insurance is required)  
• Smartphone with internet access
• Higher School Certificate
