Employment Type: Casual / Ongoing Roster (24/7 Support Services)

We support participants with complex needs through skilled, compassionate, and well-trained support workers working within a collaborative team environment.

About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced female NDIS High Intensity Support Worker to join our team on a structured ongoing roster supporting a participant with complex care needs. This role operates within a buddy system model alongside another experienced support worker and requires prior competency sign-off with a Registered Nurse before commencement of services.

This is a 24/7 support environment, offering consistent ongoing shifts for competent and reliable staff.

Rostered Shifts currently available 

  • Monday & Tuesday: 12:00pm – 6:00pm
  • Wednesday: 6:00pm – 6:00am (Overnight High Intensity Buddy Shift)
  • Friday & Saturday: 6:00am – 1:00pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high intensity disability support in line with individual support plans
  • Work collaboratively within a buddy system model for complex care needs
  • Support participant with personal care (as per scope of practice and training)
  • Monitor participant wellbeing and escalate concerns appropriately
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes
  • Follow clinical guidance, care plans, and organisational procedures
  • Ensure safe practice in line with WHS, NDIS standards, and clinical requirements
  • Work effectively within a multidisciplinary care team

Essential Requirements

  • Female applicants only (based on genuine occupational requirements of the role and participant preference)
  • Previous experience in high intensity or complex care support roles
  • Successful completion of competency assessment with a Registered Nurse prior to service commencement
  • Experience working within a team-based or buddy system care environment
  • Strong communication and reporting skills
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
  • Current Driver’s Licence 
  • Ability to work across a 24/7 roster including early mornings, evenings, and overnight shifts

Desirable Criteria

  • Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, or equivalent
  • Experience supporting participants with complex or high care needs
  • Strong understanding of professional boundaries, WHS, and NDIS compliance requirements
  • Ability to remain calm and responsive in high-pressure situations
