Accounts Officer


Description

Right at Home is a leading provider of in-home care services, dedicated to improving the quality of life for our clients and their families. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Officer to join our team!
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Prepare and issue invoices for NDIS, private and brokerage clients
  • Prepare and manage quotes for NDIS, private, and brokerage clients
  • Maintain aged receivables for all clients and follow up outstanding balances
  • Manage NDIS and client documentation, including plans, agreements, and funding records
  • Perform monthly reconciliations (Visual Care vs Xero), balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end journals
  • Calculate and process worker travel and kilometre reimbursements, including complex travel claims
  • Provide guidance to workers on correct kilometre claiming and respond to related queries
  • Provide payroll cover and general finance support when required
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in accounting field for at least 3 years
  • Competency in XERO software, Employment Hero and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Must have experience with NDIS, SCHADS Award, month end process 
  • Knowledge of home care services industry is a plus
