About Us:

At Right at Home, we provide high-quality in-home care and assistance to seniors and adults with disabilities, helping them live independently and comfortably in their own homes. We are a team of compassionate professionals dedicated to making a difference—every day.

Position Summary: 

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to join our team and provide non-medical care and support to clients in their homes throughout the community. As a PCA, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for those we serve by assisting with daily living activities, offering companionship, and promoting independence.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility
  • Provide light housekeeping such as laundry, dishes, and tidying up living areas 
  • Prepare and serve meals according to clients' dietary needs and preferences 
  • Support clients with medication reminders
  • Offer companionship and emotional support
  • Assist with errands and transportation to appointments as needed (if applicable)
  • Maintain accurate documentation of care provided
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the care team
  • Monitor and report any changes in clients’ physical, emotional, or cognitive condition to the care team or supervisor
  • Follow individualised care plans and organisational policies at all times
  • Promote client safety, wellbeing, and infection control practices
  • Work independently while following scheduled care visits and timeframes
  • Support clients with community access, including safe transport and accompaniment to appointments, social activities, and outings using own vehicle where required

 

Qualifications

Qualifications: 

  • Certificate iii in individual support and gaed care 
  • Previous experience as a PCA, caregiver, or in a related field preferred.  
  • Cert iii in individual support or equivalent
  • Working with children check 
  • NDIS screening check 
  • Current First aid and CPR 
  • Current police check .

Preferred Skills

Key Selection Criteria : 

  • A genuine desire to help others and make a positive difference in their lives
  • Ability to work independently and follow care plans accurately
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s licence (own vehicle required; travel is an essential part of the role)
  • Must be willing to undergo and pass relevant background checks and meet all state-specific requirements.
