Right at Home provides in-home disability support services, supporting people to live independently. We are currently looking for Female Disability Support Workers to join our Tweed Heads team. The Disability Support Worker is responsible for implementing support services aimed at maximising the living, social and recreational skills of people with a disability. Community inclusion, independence, decision making, and personal choice should be promoted through these supports, with a focus on individual needs. All service delivery must be in line with the Policies and Procedures of Right at Home Care and the NDIS Framework

We offer an opportunity for empathetic Disability Support Workers to assist individuals in reaching their full potential. We have a client requiring 24/7 support, you will be supporting a team roster with set hours and days.

Key Responsibilities:

• Personal Care: Assist client with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Manual handling: Aid client with mobility challenges through proper manual handling techniques and assisting with exercises.
• Domestic Duties: Assist with light housekeeping duties, meal preparation, and maintaining a safe and clean-living environment.
• Provide direct care assistance to client in accordance with their service plan and as directed by the coordinator.
• Ensure completion of appropriate documentation. Relevant information on support provided is to be recorded in client notes.
• Work with client and other professionals to support the client’s individual goals.
• Services start from 6AM.

What you will need:

• Australian Federal Police Clearance
• Current CPR / First Aid Certificate
• NDIS Workers Screening Check
• NDIS Orientation Module Certificate
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence
• Valid Working Rights in Australia. (Passport, Birth Certificate etc)
• Reliable, registered and insured vehicle (comprehensive insurance is required)
• Smartphone with internet access.
