It's WA Seniors Week at Right at Home Australia

WA Seniors Week is an annual event that encourages people of all ages to celebrate the contributions of older people to the Western Australian community. WA Seniors Week is also a celebration of seniors’ active participation in community life. 

This year, WA Seniors Week will occur from the 7th to the 14th of November.  

There are loads of events happening across the State.  

Some events to think about include:  

• How to Make a Kokedama at the Bayswater Community Centre on November 10 
• Seniors Week Community Barbecue at Gosnells Council Gardens on November 11 
• Zumba Gold Class at the Alexandra Hall of St Luke’s on November 11

Another major Seniors Week event is Have A Go Day. Hosted by LiveLighter and the Seniors Recreation Council of WA, Have A Go Day is an activity/information event for over 45s. The theme each year encourages seniors to keep active and healthy in their later years. There is always a wide variety of activities to have a go at, and each year a couple of new ones are added.
