Right at Home, Australia's quality homecare provider, reminds us that next week marks both Harmony Day on 21 March and Harmony Week from 20 to 26 March.  

As a home care provider for vulnerable people in our community, and a network of businesses that employ a large amount of women, Right at Home celebrates International Women's Day 2023. Women’s rights have come a long way, but there’s still a lot of work to be done. On International Women’s Day, which takes place on the 8th of March every year, we celebrate the women who are leading the fight against gender bias. This year, UN Women wants to focus on how we can use innovation and technology to help empower women. The theme for 2023 is DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality.

Heat exhaustion is no joke. Neither is heatstroke. Heat-related illness can easily sneak up on the elderly and those living with a disability, and that’s why we would like to remind our community to stay safe and cool this Australia Day.  

On the 11th of November every year, Right at Home Australia joins the Commonwealth to remember those that fight for their country past, present, and future.

August 27 is once again the Cancer Council’s Daffodil Day Appeal raising funds for cancer research across Australia.

Right at Home honours our fallen. After last year’s pandemic precautions and shutdowns, ANZAC Day looked and felt very different in 2020. While the Australian Government has this year made the difficult decision to cancel the Australian-led Anzac Day services at Gallipoli in Turkey and near Villers-Bretonneux in France, smaller, mostly ticketed in-person ceremonies will be taking place around Australia.

Right at Home, Australia's premium homecare provider notes that today, March 21 marks Australia’s Harmony Day, celebrating our nation’s cultural diversity. Coinciding with the United Nations’ International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, Harmony Day is an Australian Government initiative to celebrate that ‘everyone belongs’.

It is once again International Women’s Day (IWD)! We would like to give a huge shoutout to all our female caregivers.
