Right at Home Sydney Inner West is seeking qualified, reliable and passionate Personal Care Workers to join our team in Sydney Inner West from Carlingford to Strathfield/Burwood, including Homebush, Auburn, Lidcombe and surrounding suburbs. You will need to be friendly, positive, and determined to make a difference. You can demonstrate client-focused behaviour, showing empathy, and treating others with dignity and respect. You’ll be a natural relationship builder, honest, helpful, and dependable, making you a great asset to our team.

We are offering casual roles with a view to permanent part-time for suitable candidates.

This role will report to the care coordinator at Right at Home Sydney Inner West.

Responsibilities will include:

• Working within a person-centered, enabling environment that respects the rights and needs of each client;

• Assisting clients with personal hygiene, dressing, and domestic duties;

• Assisting clients with daily errands, companionship, and support;

• Providing support with academic, social, or recreational activities;

• Preparing food, feeding clients, and administering medications;

• Observe, care and report any changes in the health and wellbeing of the client;

• Responding to emergency situations; and

• Working weekend, evening and overnight shifts as rostered

Essential Criteria:

• Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Willingness to learn, develop and take on new challenges

• Current National Police Check & Working with Children's Check

• Current First Aid & CPR certificates

• Current unrestricted driver’s licence (Essential)

• Medication Assistance (desirable)

• A reliable, well-maintained vehicle

• Comprehensive car insurance

• Smart mobile phone

Medication Competency preferred
