About the Role

We are currently seeking caring, reliable, and compassionate Companion Support Workers to join our growing team. This role focuses on providing companionship, domestic assistance, meal preparation, transport support, and social engagement for clients living at home.

This is a rewarding opportunity for nursing students, allied health students, mature-aged carers, or individuals seeking flexible casual work within the aged care sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide companionship and social support to clients in their home environment
  • Assist with light domestic duties including cleaning, laundry, dishes, and changing bed linen
  • Support clients with meal preparation and grocery shopping
  • Accompany clients to appointments, walks, and social activities
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the care team
  • Follow organisational policies, procedures, and WHS requirements

This Role Does Not Include

  • Personal care assistance such as showering or dressing
  • Medication administration
  • Heavy lifting or client transfers

Selection Criteria

  • Previous care or support experience favourable but not essential
  • Genuine passion for supporting elderly and vulnerable individuals
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and follow procedures
  • Current Australian Federal Police Check
  • Current Driver’s Licence and comprehensively insured reliable vehicle
  • Willingness to attend ongoing training and professional development
