There is no single price. Under Support at Home your contribution is worked out from your income and assets as assessed by Services Australia, and your funding covers the rest. That rule belongs to residential aged care, not home care. It refers to the number of days of leave a resident can take from a facility each year while keeping their place. Nobody is turned away from government funded home care because of their financial situation. Contributions are assessed on income and assets, and there are hardship provisions for people who genuinely cannot pay. If money is the thing stopping you asking for help, say so, because it is a more common conversation than most families expect.
