This last week we have all witnessed incredible scenes of devastation due to flood waters caused by an extreme rain event over Southeast Queensland and Northern New South Wales. Areas affected include Maryborough, Gympie, Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Northern Rivers (Byron Bay, Lismore, and Ballina) and now the rain is heading to Central NSW Coast and further south to Sydney. We all feel helpless and want to offer our support.

Right at Home have expanded their partnership with Bowls Australia, assuming the naming rights of the Australian Jackaroos and associated feeder squads.

It’s the holiday season and all of us here at Right at Home Australia would like to say happy holidays! 

International Day of People with Disabilities (IDPwD) is held on the 3rd of December every year. This year’s theme is ‘Leadership and participation of persons with disabilities toward an inclusive, accessible and sustainable post-COVID-19 world’.

November is World Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month. 

The 14th of November is World Diabetes Day (WDD) and we at Right at Home Australia would like to take some time this Sunday morning to reflect on this incessant disease.

Movember, a.k.a November, a.k.a Men’s Health Month is here. Started in Australia, by Australians, back in 2003, Movember is now a global movement promoting good mental health, suicide prevention, and raising awareness for prostate and testicular cancer.

It’s WA Seniors Week at Right at Home!

Along with Movember, November is also Lung Cancer Awareness Month. Lung Cancer is the fifth most common cancer in Australia with approximately 12,000 Aussies diagnosed each year.  

October is mental health month, and with it, world mental health day on the 10th.
