Qualifications

Qualifications

  •  Bachelor or Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  •          Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA).
  •          Minimum 2 years of clinical experience preferred (new graduates considered if confident and capable). Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  •          Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the Wheatbelt region.
  •          National Police Clearance and NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
  •          Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
  •          Working With Children Check.

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years' clinical experience, with  some related experience in community or aged care settings. 
  • Demonstrated experience in OT assessments and interventions for older adults 
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a MDT team.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate and respectful approach to older clients 
  • Proven ability to manage time, prioritize workload, and work autonomously in the community. 
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice, professional ethics, and continuous improvement. 
  • Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Support at Home, CHSP and My Aged Care Frameworks. 
  • Experience with OT/ environmental/ falls assessment and Aged Care Funding documentation. 
  • Understanding manual handling, dementia care, and falls preventions strategies.
