About the Role

Right at Home Gold Coast North is seeking experienced and compassionate Disability Support Workers to deliver high-quality, person-centred support to NDIS participants within their homes and local communities. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about empowering people to live independently, safely, and with dignity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care assistance, including support with hygiene and daily living activities

  • Assist participants with mobility using safe manual handling techniques, including hoists, slide sheets, and transfers

  • Support participants to attend community activities, appointments, and social outings

  • Complete domestic tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning, and grocery shopping

  • Offer emotional support, companionship, and encouragement

  • Undertake sleepover shifts where required

  • Maintain accurate documentation in line with organisational and NDIS requirements

Essential Criteria

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance

  • Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module

  • Current First Aid and CPR certification

  • A current Australian driver’s licence and access to reliable transport

  • Full legal working rights in Australia

  • Demonstrated manual handling experience, including hoists and transfer techniques

  • Confidence and competence in providing personal care

  • A minimum of 12 months’ experience in the disability and/or aged care sector

  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills

Availability Requirements

  • Availability for at least two days per week

  • Ability to work shifts ranging from 4 to 10 hours per day

  • Willingness to travel within your nominated service area 

  • Availability to complete sleepover shifts
