Aged Care Employee Day occurs each year on 7 August to celebrate the more than 370,000 residential care, home care, and retirement living staff who care for more than 1.5 million older Australians. Aged Care Employee Day is an initiative of the Aged & Community Care Providers Association (ACCPA) – an organisation dedicated to leading, advocating, and providing support, advice, and guidance to aged care providers such as Right at Home.

The annual #ThanksforCaring campaign recognises the crucial role Australia’s aged care workforce, comprising nurses, personal care workers, allied health professionals, lifestyle coordinators, hospitality teams, drivers, cooks, cleaners, administration staff, and more, plays to ensure a high performing and sustainable aged care sector.
