International Nurses Day 2021

| News

International Nurses Day is held each year on the 12th of May to coincide with the birthday of the founder of modern nursing Florence Nightingale.

International Nurses Day Blog

We’ve all seen the tireless, often heartbreaking work of our nurses and front-line workers combatting the COVID-19 pandemic. They are in our hospitals, residential care facilities, and attending to Australians who remain in need of care at home. This International Nurses Day, take the time to reflect on 2020 and the toll the pandemic has taken on nurses and their families. Pause, breathe, and think about what you can do to improve self-care and encourage others to do so as well.

We offer our sincere thanks now and always.

This year’s International Nurses Day theme is ‘Nurses: A voice to lead – A vision for future healthcare’.

We believe that as consumers increasingly opt for in-home care, nurses are going to be the ones driving innovation in the sector. The future of home care is a nurse-led model and one that we are proud to support. Many of our franchise office owners are nurses or professionals in allied health. We support these entepreneurial men and women in their own business and in their quest to improve the quality of life for those we serve.

Happy International Nurses Day!
