Right at Home Gold Coast Northern Rivers is recruiting experienced Registered Nurse for our clients in the Gold Coast and Northern Rivers. Our office is based in Bundall.

Our services include: aged care, disability care, nursing care and more - all provided in our clients' own homes.

About the role:

Every day is new and different for a Registered Nurse in Community Home Care. You will be a caring, enthusiastic person providing clinical and case management support to our elderly clients with both high & low care.

Demonstrating a holistic approach to care, you will be applying your contemporary nursing skills through assessing, planning, delivering, communicating, and evaluating client care.

Your primary focus will be to recognise the client's values, personal goals and needs and assist them with services and support that enable them to remain independent in their own home.

In addition, you will provide comprehensive guidance to Care staff, ensuring client's individual choices are supported.

There will be opportunities to increase hours as client needs increase. It is expected that this role will generate a minimum of 8 – 16 hrs of work initially.

 

Qualifications

  • To work as a community health nurse in QLD and NSW, you will need to obtain a registration from the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. You will also need to hold a current Working with Children Check.

About you:

You are often commended on your problem solving, decision making and negotiation skills and take pride in your highly developed interpersonal skills. You have the ability to prioritise and manage workloads according to client needs and are able to work independently or as part of a multi-disciplinary work team. You can effectively communicate at all levels enabling you to achieve best nursing practices in accordance with legislation, common law and quality improvement.

Ideally you will have:

  • A passion for aged care and the ability to work effectively with people from differing cultural backgrounds;
  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered;
  • Ideally 2 – 3 years’ experience working within the aged care sector
  • Clinical knowledge within Health Care, Aged Care, Home Care Programs and/or a Community Care environment;
  • Responsible delivery of medication
  • Ability to promote and encourage reablement to maximise physical and psychosocial function;
  • Proficiency and confidence in using technology daily;
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence and your own comprehensively insured vehicle.
