Massage Therapist - Pyrmont and other Eastern Suburbs (Disability Care / Aged Care - with car preferred)

Right at Home Sydney Central and Eastern Suburbs provides high-quality in-home care and assistance servicing the National Disability Insurance Scheme and Aged Care Sector. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for those we serve.

About the role

We are seeking a Massage Therapist to join our team, providing on-site / home-based services. You will be responsible for conducting client assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering high-quality therapeutic massage treatments appropriate to individual client needs. This involves using a range of manual techniques, such as deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and myofascial release, to address musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction while maintaining accurate client records, including treatment plans and progress reports. You will also provide clients with rehabilitation advice, including stretching exercises and relaxation techniques. Continuing professional development is encouraged to stay updated with the latest techniques and therapies. This role is available for casual employment.

Qualifications

 • Minimum qualification of Certificate IV in Massage Therapy is essential, and membership with the Australian Association of Massage Therapists (AAMT) is preferred
 • Valid National Police Check
 • Updated First Aid & CPR Certificate
• Must have a mobile smart phone and able to navigate through various applications

Preferred Skills

• Experience and expertise in aged care massage is preferred
• Experience in conducting physical assessments, developing care plans, and implementing evidence-based clinical intervention
• Thrive in a team and also appreciate the one to one interaction
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Compassionate, patient, and empathetic attitude
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to learn, develop and take on new challenges
