World Health Day and Home Care – An article brought to you by Right at Home, Australia’s trusted home care provider

| News

World Health Day Tuesday, April 7

Tuesday, April 7 marked World Health Day 2020, recognising the founding of the World Health Organisation in 1948. Acknowledging a global health day could not be more relevant and important than right now as we face the COVID-19 pandemic.

During a press conference from WHO Headquarters in Geneva last week, WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus spoke to the public, emphasising the importance of global political and business leadership. While adhering to our government’s advice and warnings, we must do our part in our communities to keep Australians safe.

Ghebreyesus also raised concerns over Africa and Latin America, reiterating the risks faced by the world’s poorest and most vulnerable countries. While we bunker down here in Australia, caring for our communities as best we can, spare a thought for those countries less fortunate than we are.

Once again, our sincere best wishes to all our Right at Home communities across Australia.

In good health.
