Understandably, much of our attention has been taken up by the pandemic, with COVID-19 affecting us all both directly and indirectly. But other fatal diseases are still here, and one of those is breast cancer.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and once again, it’s time to think pink, and rally together in support of research and treatment for one of women’s three most common cancers.
If you have been touched by breast cancer, or you simply want to get involved, then visit the Cancer Council’s Do It For Cancer page. It’s a community platform that enables you to fundraise any way you like. Test your endurance, quit a habit, host an event or garage sale, or bring your unique fundraising idea to life. The only limit is your imagination. Every dollar you raise will go towards helping people whose lives have been affected by cancer. This means funding world-class research, prevention and support services across Australia, as well as helping patients both today and in the future.
At Right at Home, one of our care services is cancer care. Whether we are called into help the patient, or offer respite care to a family member, we have the expertise and right approach to ensure everyone is safe and comfortable in their own homes.
Think pink this month, and stay safe, Australia.
