August 2020 marks the 60th anniversary of Queensland Seniors Month and Right at Home, Australia’s trusted homecare provider is celebrating with all our elderly Queenslanders and elderly Australians across the country.

Coordinated by the Queensland Government’s Council on the Ageing (COTA), Queensland Seniors Month will this year go virtual due to COVID-19. Because of the online schedule, COTA has decided to run a week-long celebration from Saturday 15 to Sunday 23 August.

Seniors Month provides opportunities to promote positive community attitudes towards older people and ageing. It aims to facilitate community participation and enhance community connections, aligning with the Queensland Government’s vision of building age-friendly communities in Queensland.  

Right at Home Australia would like to celebrate our elderly communities now more than ever. Isolation and uncertainty surrounding COVID-19 have affected many of us over the past few months. We wish to offer our continued support as we remain committed to improving the quality of life for those we serve.
