Right at Home Australia discusses Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month and Teal Ribbon Day Today

This February, the campaign, run by Ovarian Cancer Australia, aims to raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer, to share the stories of real women affected by the disease, to highlight the risk factors for ovarian cancer and educate Australians on ovarian cancer diagnosis and treatment. 2021 marks Ovarian Cancer Australia’s 20th year of working to improve support and awareness for ovarian cancer and making incremental progress in care and treatment.

As part of its annual campaign, Ovarian Cancer Australia is hosting its Teal Ribbon Giving Day event today February 24. If you donate, your donation will be matched by one of OCA’s sponsorship partners to help fund its helpline and specialist ovarian cancer nurses.

Ovarian Cancer Signs and Symptoms

OCA FACTS Campaign Signs Symptoms

Currently 1 woman dies every 8 hours from the disease and only 46% of women diagnosed will survive past five years. However, Ovarian Cancer Australia (OCA), believe 2021 will be the year of a breakthrough to find more treatments for the disease.

This Teal Ribbon Day, OCA will triple any donation made. So dig deep and help this worthy cause.
