Australia Day 2021

| News

It’s Australia Day and what a time to reflect on the trials and tribulations of 2020 on the lives of Australians domestic and abroad.

Australia Day 2021 Blog

But it’s also a new year and there is much to be celebrated.

Australia Day has in the past been fraught with controversy and division. Yet, we continue to strive for unity as one of the world’s greatest multicultural nations. We can be proud that the Australian Government this month made a small but permanent change to further recognise our indigenous peoples with the updating of our national anthem.

We once again celebrate the important Australian of the Year awards.

We offer our sincere congratulations to the 33 individuals nominated for the 2021 Australian of the Year Award. We would also like to congratulate the Australian of the Year state and territory winners, along with the Senior Australian of the Year and Young Australian of the Year state and territory winners, and the Local Hero state and territory winners.

This is the Story of Australia - the story of an extraordinary nation.

The Story begins 60,000 years ago. New chapters are written every day.

On Australia Day, we reflect on our history, its highs and its lows.

We respect the stories of others.

And we celebrate our nation, its achievements and most of all, its people.

We're all part of the story. – AustraliaDay.org.au

As part of a global network of home care operators, we at Right at Home Australia would like to ask our communities to stay safe and vigilant. The coronavirus pandemic has spared much of Australia but that doesn’t mean it won’t or can’t crop up again.
