AFTER SCHOOL DISABILITY SUPPORT WORKER -  Monday to Friday (Gold Coast) 

We have an exciting opportunity for 1-2 X Disability Support Workers to work with a young client of ours with Cerebal Palsy. This shift is based in the Gold Coast. The successful applicants will be enthusiastic and passionate about providing a caring, compassionate, respectful and high-quality service. ABOUT THE ROLE

In this role you will be assisting a young, bubbly and super special client with her afterschool care requirements. Tasks that you may be assisting with include 

• Arts and craft activities
• assiting with feeding
• Nappy changes when needed
• Light household duties to assist the family 
• Monday to Friday 3pm - 7pm 

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• Valid Blue Card
• Over 12 months experience working with children with a disability 
• Minimum of Certificate 3 in Disability/ Individual Support/ Aged care/ Health Services Assistant
  or be a current Nursing Student (Should have completed Cert III or equivalent placements)
• Ability to work with clients with Mental Health
• A passion for respectfully empowering and caring for people
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
• High level of time management and organisational ability
• Willingness to participate in further education opportunities

QUALIFICIATIONS 

• Certificate III in Individual Support - Aged Care or Disability Services
• Australian National Police check
• Current or willing to obtain a first aid and CPR certificate
• Smart mobile phone
• Driver's licence and your own registered car
