Right at Home provides a range of care services to the elderly and those living with a disability who require assistance in their home.  We have a unique and internationally recognised system of delivering care that is very well received by our clients. Right at Home Sydney Inner West is seeking experienced, enthusiastic, highly motivated and reliable casual Registered Nurses to manage and administer the delivery of nursing care to our clients. Our office offers skilled nursing services to clients from Carlingford to Concord/Burwood, including Homebush, Auburn, Lidcombe and surrounding suburbs. We provide services under a range of funding sources including private pay clients, My Aged Care and NDIS.

Our staff are important to us and will work under the supervision and with support / mentoring of the office management team according to their scope of practice as defined by the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board. We are particularly seeking individuals with acute nursing skills that include PICC, Baxter Changes, IV and Vac Dressing, wound and continence experience.

A successful candidate will have the following:

· A passion for high quality client-focused care in a community setting

· Able to work autonomously or within a team environment

· Excellent time management and organisation skills

· Commitment to ongoing professional development

Qualifications

Qualifications: 

.  Bachelor Degree of Nursing

· Current registration with AHPRA

· Current Australian National Police check

· Current First Aid and CPR certificate

· Professional Indemnity Insurance.

. NDIS Worker screening and WWCC

. NDIS Orientation Module

. COVID - 19 Infection Control Certificate

.  A smart mobile phone (iphone / android)

· Driver's licence, registered & comprehensively insured vehicle

Preferred Skills

Preferred Skills:

You are often commended on your problem solving, decision making and negotiation skills and take pride in your highly developed interpersonal skills. You have the ability to prioritise and manage workloads according to client needs and are able to work independently or as part of a multi-disciplinary work team. You can effectively communicate at all levels enabling you to achieve best nursing practices in accordance with legislation, common law and quality improvement.

Ideally you will have:

  • A passion for community care and the ability to work effectively with people from differing cultural backgrounds;
  • Ideally 2 – 3 years’ experience working within the community care sector
  • Clinical knowledge within Health Care, Aged Care, Home Care Programs and/or a Community Care environment;
  • Responsible delivery of medication
  • Ability to promote and encourage reablement to maximise physical and psychosocial function;
  • Proficiency and confidence in using technology daily;
