Right at Home Sydney Norwest is seeking qualified, reliable and passionate Personal Care Workers to join our team in Sydney Norwest from Kenthurst, Annangrove to West Pennant Hills, also Rouse HIll to North Parramatta. You will need to be friendly, positive, and determined to make a difference. You can demonstrate client-focused behaviour, showing empathy, and treating others with dignity and respect. You’ll be a natural relationship builder, honest, helpful, and dependable, making you a great asset to our team.

We are offering casual roles with a view to permanent part-time for suitable candidates.

 

This role will report to the care coordinator at Right at Home Sydney Norwest.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Working within a person-centered, enabling environment that respects the rights and needs of each client;
  • Assisting clients with personal hygiene, dressing, and domestic duties;
  • Assisting clients with daily errands, companionship, and support;
  • Providing support with academic, social, or recreational activities;
  • Preparing food, feeding clients, and administering medications;
  • Observe, care and report any changes in the health and wellbeing of the client;
  • Responding to emergency situations; and
  • Working weekend and overnight shifts as rostered

Qualifications

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to learn, develop and take on new challenges
  • Current National Police Check & Working with Children's Check
  • Current First Aid & CPR certificates
  • Current unrestricted driver’s licence
  • Medication Assistance (desirable)
  • A reliable, well-maintained vehicle
  • Comprehensive car insurance
  • Smart mobile phone
