Disability Support Worker


Description

If you are an experienced Disability Support Worker who has community care experience working with young children then we would like to talk to you! Our services include, aged and disability care, transitional care, hospital in the home and palliative care.

We are currently seeking experienced Disability Support Workers who are enthusiastic and passionate about providing a caring, compassionate, respectful and high quality service. Our priority is to help our clients live empowered and independently at home. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for those we serve.

The hours of this service would be:-

7am- 9:30am - assisting with dressing the client, preparing her school lunch,light house cleaning duties, transporting this client to school.

4:30pm-7pm - picking the client up from school, assisting with showering, preparing dinner, light house cleaning duties.

Weekend respite may also be needed.

Qualifications

Essential Requirements

  • Certificate III in Disability Support
  • Over 12 months experience with disability work
  • Blue Care Card
  • Satisfactory Australian National Police check
  • Current or willing to obtain a first aid and CPR certificate
  • Smart mobile phone

  • A passion for respectfully empowering and caring for people
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • High level of time management and organisational ability
