Community Registered Nurses

Provide caring, compassionate, respectful and high quality nursing services in Aged, Disability, Transitional & Palliative Care and Hospital in the Home within Northern Rivers NSW Australia

If you are an experienced Community RN we would like to speak to you.

This Registered Nurse position is on a casual basis with work within Ballina, Alstonville, Limore, and other surrounding areas in Northern Rivers region.

Our staff are important to us and will work under the supervision and with support / mentoring of the office management team according to their scope of practice as defined by the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board. We are particularly seeking individuals with acute nursing skills that include PICC, Baxter Changes, IV and Vac Dressing and wound experience.

Qualifications

.  Bachelor Degree of Nursing

· Current registration with AHPRA

· Current Australian National Police check

· Current First Aid and CPR certificate

· Professional Indemnity Insurance.

. NDIS Worker screening-WWCC and Yellow card

. NDIS Orientation Module

. COVID - 19 Infection Control Certificate

. A smart mobile phone (iphone / android)

· Driver's licence, registered & comprehensivly insured vehicle

 

 

Preferred Skills

You are often commended on your problem solving, decision making and negotiation skills and take pride in your highly developed interpersonal skills. You have the ability to prioritise and manage workloads according to client needs and are able to work independently or as part of a multi-disciplinary work team. You can effectively communicate at all levels enabling you to achieve best nursing practices in accordance with legislation, common law and quality improvement.

Ideally you will have:

  • A passion for community care and the ability to work effectively with people from differing cultural backgrounds;
  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse;
  • Ideally 2 – 3 years’ experience working within the community care sector
  • Clinical knowledge within Health Care, Aged Care, Home Care Programs and/or a Community Care environment;
  • Responsible delivery of medication
  • Ability to promote and encourage reablement to maximise physical and psychosocial function;
  • Proficiency and confidence in using technology daily;
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence and your own comprehensively insured vehicle.
